Ode To the Tide Keeper Clock

" Tides ebb and flow. 

In wintertime the tides are high. 

In summertime the tides are low What washed ashore will go."

Here the geometric shape of the clock, clock-face and pendulum window are contrasted beautifully with the twisted linear movement of the natural branches brought in from the beach. The top piece has a peg in it so that it will not fall, but can be easily removed for shipping. The bottom has an artist paint-brush a kind of clue to the artist who made the piece myself! A few beautiful shells add additional texture.

 I have used enamel paint and rubber spray for the branches so they seem to be going through a metamorphosis. Now is the time to be aware, and take care to protect our seas. I believe in a poetic way there is even more emphasis to the meaning of the Tide Keeper Clock
