Reflections on Horses in Art

When I paint horses, I feel deeply connected to my work, as memories and imagery from childhood flow through me. Through these beautiful depictions of horses-their interactions with each other and the earth-we gain a sense of their community and joyful participation in the natural world. With the horses I find emotional healing, and a life filled with magic. Sometimes, rather than theorizing about the meaning of life, we simply need to let the enchantment of life pour in.  For me the white horses represent a childhood fantasy, one of spirit and goodness.
